Economic Optimism Gains among Executives Worldwide

While many regions are skeptical about unemployment getting any better, 52% of executives in North America expect the unemployment rate to decrease in the next six months.

When asked about barriers to growth, executives most often listed low consumer demand, government regulation, geopolitical instability and lack of credit.

With that said, consumer demand is moving in a positive direction. Nearly half of North American executives believe consumer demand will increase in the next six months, compared to just 31% that felt that way in September 2011.
